Haribo at The Tall Ships Race

No Comments Work

It was a weekend to remember for everyone who came! Dublin Tall Ships Race filled the city with excitement, stunning views and thousands of curious visitors.

Haribo just couldn’t miss this great event, so we helped to gather the best team and send fun loving brand ambassadors along with Goldbear to add some sweetness!

By the end of 4 days Haribo managed to give away 90,000 packs of jelly heaven and win the hearts of every young explorer met on the way!

Goldbear got nearly as much attention as The Tall Ships did! :)

Haribo ‘Sweet For Sour’ Campaign

No Comments Work

It is not an easy task to trying to bring out everyone’s inner child, but when you’ve got a giant golden bear, fun loving & enthusiastic staff, not to mention lots of free Haribo Tangfastics, everything is possible.

Over thirty different locations that included Dublin Zoo, Hamleys, and the RDS Toy Show we managed to put a smile on the face of every child we met, not to mention their Haribo enthusiast parents.

We are all looking forward to the weekend here in Giraffe but not as bad as Brian who has been to the “Hell and Back” last Sunday! Let us share little video with you of what it was like! Believe us it’s worth watching!

Doesn’t it look impressive? Well, look at our hero who has managed to raise over €1,000 so far for his charity Laura Lynn’s House – Children’s Sunshine Home.

Well done Brian! It’s time to enjoy couple of days off, so have a great weekend everyone!!

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year when people gather to show their appreciation for each other and food of course, glorious food.

“Food, Glorious Food”!! You’d think we’re talking about roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, well you’re wrong! Watch this ad and see if you want to spice up your menu this season!

But if you still decide you want to cook some turkey let’s hope it will be as delicious as the Meijer one.

Can you imagine Robert De Nero dressed as a turkey or perhaps an Eagle? Watch Macy’s ad to see if you can spot him!

Plum cocktails were served on the night with the first 50 people receiving a HTC Rhyme goodie bag. DJ Her provided background tunes and the HTC girls were on hand to provide demos of the handsets.

The Halloween. Chapter One

No Comments Work

Halloween is just like Christmas, another great occasion when marketing can have a bit of fun. It’s no longer just a holiday for kids, it’s a worldwide celebration for people of all ages. Here at Giraffe The Agency we love it so much, that we’ve decided to dedicate a whole week to it. In today’s post it’s The Halloween, Chapter 1.

First up is Burger King and its interpretation of Hell’s Kitchen!

Little treats in the bag from Iglo:

Did you ever think that if you had a smaller car you could “fit into that spot”? Well, it wouldn’t ever happen if your vehicle was like this:

And always remember that “When you use a mobile while you drive, your head is somewhere else.”

And how would you feel if you walked in on this at Halloween?

On your way back home from a Halloween party be careful not to stumble across some evil dolls powered by never dying Energizer.

Also watch out for the drak crew flying over your head!

And finally here is a great ad by SNICKERS with the awesome tagline “It’s what you would want”. After all, don’t you just wish sometimes that you were the one knocking on the door?

That’s an end to the Chapter 1, but don’t forget to come back and check out our  Favourite Halloween TV Commercials of all time in our next post! Meanwhile, have a Happy Halloween!

Rugby World Cup of Ads

No Comments Work

Without a doubt Rugby is a powerful game that deserves attention but it’s Ireland’s amazing victory over Australia last week that got us all talking.

Over the years we’ve worked on many rugby campaigns for various clients, so with that in mind we decided to take a look at what happens when the world of marketing and rugby meet with a selection of ads from around the world.

First Up is Holland and how they’re are getting ready for the start of the rugby season.

We know rugby is a lot tougher than football, but this ad makes it official.

Finally for those of you who are interested in what’s going on behind the scenes watch this exclusive video from inside the dressing-room during the games in South Africa. Enjoy!

Taste of Chocolate

No Comments Work

The annual Taste of Dublin festival took place last weekend in the Ivy Garden, and despite Mother Natures best efforts to ‘dampen’ our spirits, it was a fantastic weekend – a bit of rain has never come between the Irish and a good party.

Lindt chocolate created quite a stir at the event with a 54m² Lindor Chocolate Zone. The bespoke Lindor Pick & Mix stands drew in chocolate lovers from all corners of the gardens – visitors could choose from 8 luxurious Lindor balls to make their perfect Lindor Pick & Mix.

Giraffe the Agency created the bespoke Lindor zone, and had plenty of Maîtres Chocolatiers on hand to make sure that the weekend was a big success.
